This workshop focuses on how early-stage architectural ideas can move efficiently from sketch to structured, validated 3D design. It brings together rapid concept development using xFigura workflows with live model intelligence powered by Speckle. Participants will explore how modular design options can be generated, reviewed, and assessed in real time, while live dashboards track validation, progress, and responsibilities directly from model data. The session is grounded in practice, with HENN sharing how their BIM team uses data-driven workflows to support better decisions, improve coordination, and turn model information into a strategic advantage. The workshop is designed to bridge creative exploration and technical validation, showing how design teams, BIM leads, and project managers can work from a single, reliable source of truth during the earliest phases of a project.
This workshop is designed for early- to mid-level professionals and does not require advanced coding or scripting knowledge.

No software installation or specialist setup is required in advance — the workshop is structured to be accessible while still offering depth for more experienced participants.

Chuck Driesler is a software engineer at Speckle, working on tools that help AEC teams connect, analyse, and act on their model data. His work focuses on building scalable data workflows and intelligence features that enable real-time insight, validation, and collaboration across design and delivery teams.
Emiliano Lupo is a BIM Manager at HENN, where he leads data-driven workflows across complex architectural projects. He works at the intersection of design, coordination, and digital strategy, helping teams use BIM and model intelligence to improve decision-making, coordination, and project performance.
Daniel Escobar is an architecture and computational designer working at the intersection of architecture, generative AI, and emerging design technologies. He is the co-founder of Diffusion Architecture, a platform dedicated to advancing AI in architectural practice. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale 2025. Daniel currently leads research and development at xFigura.ai, where he develops AI-driven tools and experimental workflows for next-generation design.
This workshop explores how early-stage architectural design can move seamlessly from initial sketching and concept exploration into structured, validated 3D options supported by live project intelligence.
Bridging creativity and control, the session demonstrates how rapid design ideas can be developed into modular, comparable options using xFigura workflows, while model data is continuously analysed, validated, and tracked through live dashboards powered by Speckle. Rather than treating validation and coordination as downstream tasks, the workshop shows how intelligence can be embedded directly into the earliest phases of design.
Participants will learn how to connect their models to a single source of truth where design changes instantly update project analytics. You’ll see how custom dashboards can be configured to visualise model health, progress, and risk; how validation rules can be tailored to different project needs; and how existing rule sets from other model-checking tools can be reused to maintain consistency with office standards. The workflow enables teams to identify critical issues early, prioritise actions, and clearly define responsibilities — all without relying on external BI platforms.
A key part of the workshop is grounded in real practice. The progressive BIM team at HENN will share how they use Speckle’s Intelligence features in live projects to turn model data into a strategic asset. Their insight demonstrates how design teams, BIM leads, and project managers can align around shared data to improve decision-making, coordination, and project clarity from day one.
The workshop is designed for architects, designers, BIM leads, and project managers who want to better connect early design exploration with validation, planning, and accountability. It is especially relevant for teams looking to make design decisions with confidence, gain real-time visibility over project status, and establish clearer workflows between creative and technical roles during the most critical early stages of a project.
