Hands-on workflow for high-performance facades using Rhino/Grasshopper, Ladybug Tools, and parametric optimization to hit net-zero targets.
Laptop with Rhino 8 + Grasshopper installed; Ladybug Tools pre-installed; basic Grasshopper familiarity.

Maya is a building-physics engineer and computational designer. At Aether Lab she leads facade optimization for large mixed-use projects, combining climate analysis with parametric design and toolmaking.
You’ll build a parametric facade system, run climate-based simulations, iterate with multi-objective sliders, and document results for client-ready packs. Topics: weather files, solar gain vs daylight balance, shading logic, optimization strategies, and export for BIM coordination.
